The summer vegetable bonanza continues and will fill up the menu at this dinner.
Expect to taste Caroselli cucumbers, pictured here after harvesting on our farm. They are a rare variety from Puglia in southern Italy. It’s actually a melon, but typically harvested early and eaten like a cucumber.
Besides the Carosellis, we should be into more of our late summer offerings such as eggplants, sweet and hot peppers, and of course more of those delicious Piennolo tomatoes.
Expect some great Italian wines to provide a supporting role!
